Tournament Information 2002 Fall Classic Ten Pin Tournament Sunday, November 3, 2002
This tournament is a singles tournament open to any bowler who has an established average (sanctioned/unsanctioned). An entrant who has a current (2002-2003 season) average (based on a minimum of 15 games as of October 26, 2002), shall use such current average. If an entrant has two or more such current averages, he/she must use his/her highest such average. Entrants must present an average sheet noting current (October 26, 2002) league average in order to be eligible. Any bowler who does not have a current (2002-2003 season) league average shall use his/her last year's highest finishing (book) average (2001-2002 season). Any bowler who does not have a current average or an average for last year, may use his/her highest finishing average for last summer (based on at least 21 games). Any bowler who does not have a verifiable average must bowl "scratch". IMPORTANT: All unsanctioned averages and/or summer league averages must be averages attained at Lanes & Games only, NO EXCEPTIONS. All unsanctioned averages must have been established under at least two of the general ABC/WIBC rules, namely, the foul line rule and alternating lane after each frame rule. All entering averages will be checked for accuracy. Any average entered under an assumed name will disqualify the bowler. HANDICAP: The tournament will operate under a 90% handicap system. 90% of the difference between each bowler's average and 210 will be added to each score. $35.00 ENTRY FEE BREAKDOWN:
FORMAT: FIRST ROUND: Bowl three (3) games across six (6) lanes. The top 50% of the bowlers, pinfall plus handicap pins, advance to the second round. SECOND ROUND: Bowl two (2) games across four (4) lanes. The bowlers with the top five (5) highest two (2) game series (with handicap) will cash. The fifth place bowler takes fifth place money. The top four (4) bowlers go on to the third round. THIRD ROUND: Top four (4) bowlers will bowl one (1) game, at the same time, on one pair of lanes to determine the top four (4) place positions. OPTIONAL SIDE POOLS - FIRST ROUND ONLY: HIGH HANDICAP GAME: $1.00 PER GAME ($3.00 ENTRY FEE) FOR THREE (3)
