MATCH PLAY

Match Play is a fairly simple concept if a bit confusing. . .

In a traditional trio league, one three-man team is pitted against a second three-man team. For each team-on-team win, the entire team collects team points. The points are used to determine team standings.

Match Play begins the same as a traditional league.

Here are where things become a little different. . .

Aside from team points, teams are also awarded individual points. Let us say Team One is Bowling versus Team Two. The first bowler on Team One is up against the first bowler on Team Two. Team Two's bowler gets a higher score than Team One's bowler. Team Two gets an extra point for that game thanks to that bowler. The same then repeats for Bowlers two and three.

Also, the point that Team Two's bowler wins from Team One's bowler goes toward that bowlers Individual Points record. The same then repeats for bowlers two and three. The individuals with the highest points will be awarded prizes on the individual level as well as for their team. The number of awards depends on how many bowlers we have in the league.

To make things simpler, Lanes and Games awards the points and keeps the records. If you just want to have fun, come on in and bowl!
